GTO India on the GO!!!... One of our Votes of Confidence!

NO TO COAL for DAVAO

This is an appeal to ask every Davaenio to sign the petition to REJECT the ABOITIZ COAL POWER PLANT PROJECT for Bgy. Binugao, Toril, Davao City.

It was recently approved by virtue of the votes of the City Council of Davao overriding the Mayors Veto to block the said project just 3 days ago as we write.

This is the last card for us the people to save Davao and eventually... the planet as a whole.

Based on Republic Act  No. 6735, it recognizes "The power of the people under a system of initiative and referendum to DIRECTLY PROPOSE, ENACT, APPROVE, or REJECT, in WHOLE or IN PART, the Constiitution, Laws, Ordinances, or Resolutions passed by any Legislative body...

The same law has three systems and one of which is the power of the people to transmit a petition on "Referendum on local law which refers to a petition to approve or reject a law, resolution or ordinance enacted by regional assemblies and local legislative bodies."

Section 4 of the law states that "The power of initiative and referendum may be exercised by all registered voters of the country, autonomous regions, provinces, cities, municipalities and barangays."

In the case of Davao City, in order to reject the ordinance reclassifying a parcel of land in Binugao, the vote in favor for it must reach at least 10% of the total number of registered voters and each legislative district of Davao City must be represented by 3% of its registered voters.

Commission on Elections records as of March 17, 200 shows Davao City has a voting population of 797,214. Ten percent of that will be 79,721.

Considering there will be more voters registered as we speak, 80,000 or more signatures will be more than enough to Save Davao.

Please help spread the word.... Help save Davao.... Help save the planet.

Please contact the office of the Mayor Inday Sara Duterte for more information.

GOD SAVE DAVAO

Reference Video Isuzu Jeepney Before GTO treatment

Treating an Isuzu Diesel Jeepney

Engine type: Isuzu 4DR5 Diesel

Location: Baguio

GTO dosage: 4 x 250ml.

GTF dosage: initially 1 bottle, another bottle was added later on; total = 2

Noticeable Improvement: Smoother Engine Sound, Emissions Significantly reduced!

Witnessed by: GTO Group Baguio and Transport Coop. Officers

NOTE:

This video was taken without considering the privacy of the owner of the vehicle... anyone can contact them to verify what happened to the vehicle.

To save you the time and effort and also to prevent too much unnecessary bother to the owner with so much calls and inquiry, we are taking the liberty to update everyone about the subject vehicle in this video.

Recently, about 3 weeks ago more or less as this post is updated (01/21/12), This vehicle ran out of oil due to a physical leak at the oil pan gasket.

It is general knowledge that no engine can withstand to run for so much kilometers without oil lubrication.

In other words... the engine was ran for so much kilometers without oil due to the leak.

The bearings were replaced and it was top overhauled that costed roughly about P13,800.00 in both Labor and Materials.

The lesson learned: Do check the levels of your oil regularly especially if your engines or vehicles are as old as the one shown in this video.

GTO is not mean to cure everything... it is merely a preventive maintenance solution. It cannot cure physical gasket defects or damages... but it can recondition old gaskets but are not yet cooked/ overheated nor cracked.

A normal untreated engine will freeze or stuck up without GTO protection, which could mean - that the owner would have to replace the whole engine or its cylinder block.

Since this engine was treated with GTO, it did not freeze up, but continued to ran until it has reached the threshold limits of the connecting rod bearings which is susceptible to oil starvation.

The connecting rod bearings are always moving in a circular pattern which can throw out oil lubricants easily, and it is only when there is oil present that can be pumped into the oil capillaries... that these bearings are protected.

This only proved that GTO protected the engine from much further and bigger damage.

A used diesel engine like this would cost more than P50K.

A Desperate Call

Subject: The planet is dying

Dear friends,

Our planet is dying and big oil companies have key nations in their pockets, blocking any chance of a climate treaty. We have 3 days before UN talks end -- let's call on the EU, Brazil and China to lead us towards a deal to save the planet! Click here to sign the urgent petition:

Our oceans are dying, our air changing, and our forests and grasslands turning to deserts. From fish and plants to wildlife to human beings, we are killing the planet that sustains us, and fast. There is one single greatest cause of this destruction of the natural world -- climate change, and in the next 3 days, we have a chance to stop it.

The UN treaty on climate change -- our best hope for action -- expires next year. But a greedy US-led coalition of oil-captured countries is trying to kill it forever. It's staggeringly difficult to believe: they are trading short term profits for the survival of our natural world.

The EU, Brazil and China are all on the fence -- they are not slaves to oil companies the way the US is, but they need to hear a massive call to action from people before they really lead financially and politically to save the UN treaty. The world is gathered at the climate summit for the next 3 days to make the big decision. Let's send our leaders a massive call to stand up to big oil and save the planet -- an Avaaz team at the summit will deliver our call directly:

Things are becoming desperate. All over our planet extreme weather continues to smash records, leaving millions homeless and without food or shelter. We’re rapidly reaching our point of no return to stop runaway climate change -- we only have until 2015 to start making drastic reductions to our carbon pollution.

Yet despite this very real urgency, the world has failed to mobilise against the fossil fuel-captured democracy of the US. Not only content with wrecking the Copenhagen talks and the Kyoto protocol, they are now building a coalition of climate treaty killers to put the final nail in the coffin of international negotiations in Africa.

Our only hope to turn things around lies with Europe, Brazil and China -- they can make a deal happen, but they need to do it together, and that’s where we come in. Europe is tired, it’s fought long and hard on climate and needs a public boost. China has already agreed to binding commitments, is sensitive to its international reputation, and could lead further if we give it an encouraging push. And Brazil is hosting next year's earth summit -- making it eager to set the world up for climate success.Let’s build a giant global call to bring our champions together and build a green dream team.Sign the petition now and forward this email:

The crazy focus on short term profits that motivates countries to stall and scuttle action on a climate crisis that literally threatens the survival of all of us cannot be tolerated. Fortunately, our movement has the power to intervene in this process and demand change. Let’s stand together and inspire others to stand with us for a safer, more humane world.

With hope and determination,

Luis, Emma, Ricken, Iain, Antonia, Morgan, Dalia, Pascal and the rest of the Avaaz team

Notes to ponder

NASA claims that the government could slow down worldwide global warming by cutting down on soot emissions. Studies by NASA show that cutting down on soot would not only have an immediate cooling effect, but would also put a stop to many of the deaths caused by air pollution. When soot is formed, it typically travels through the air absorbing and releasing solar radiation which in turn begins to warm the atmosphere. Cutting soot emissions would be an immediate help against global warming, as the soot would quickly fall out of the atmosphere and begin to cool it down.

Cutting back on soot emissions would buy us time in our fight against global warming. Soot is caused by the partial burning of fossil fuels, wood and vegetation. Soot is known to contain over forty different cancer causing chemicals, and a complete cut would offer untold health benefits worldwide.

Environmental conservation has always been a topic for lengthy discussions, but up until recent times, global warming and climate changes were vague subjects, with no hard proof. Not surprisingly, the previous lack of attention to these issues have created a very gloomy outlook on our future. So, considering all this, what could be the biggest contributor to climate changes through global warming? Transportation - the man-made iron horses, flying machines and sea monsters, so to speak.

The question we have now is how green is our transportation? The majority of the worlds' vehicles are fueled by oil (petrol, diesel and kerosene). Even if they rely on electricity, the stations used to generate this electricity use fossil fuels for power! Excluding vehicle manufacture, transportation is responsible for 14% of the artificially created greenhouse emissions, mostly carbondioxide.

Automobiles, trains and planes are all responsible for this problem, but cars are the highest impact-makers. They release approximately six times more carbondioxide than a plane and seven times more than sea vessels.

What is Air Pollution?

Air pollution is somewhat difficult to define because many air pollutants, at low concentrations, are essential nutrients for the sustainable development of ecosystems. So, air pollution could be defined as:A state of the atmosphere, which leads to the exposure of human beings and/or ecosystems to such high levels or loads of specific compounds or mixtures thereof, that damage is caused. With very few exceptions, all compounds that are considered air pollutants have both natural as well as human-made origins.

Air pollution is not a new phenomenon; in Medieval times, the burning of coal was forbidden in London while Parliament was in session. Air pollution problems have dramatically increased in intensity as well as scale due to the increase in emissions since the Industrial Revolution.
