The fastest Race Car can do 39 seconds... the more average race tuned car can do it in 45 seconds, The less average race car can do a lap in or above 50 seconds. The trick is to make your first run your familiarization run... and the second run is your serious run... you need to put a heavier right foot on this run. This is what Geoffrey the black Charade Driver just did and he did well!. I also noticed that his carb was a bit modified mechanically... it has a steel rod that pushes the secondary throttle to open as the primary throttle is opened halfway. This allows more air and more fuel to be fed - making the engine rev more aggressively This is the cheapest and easiest carburetor trick - one of the very few things I forgot to do with the HHO Charade.. simply because I was pre-occupied with the other techniques being placed before and after the main engine set-up.
There are also a few other cars with very good set-up and has big sponsors - like this popular fuel additive; the car is I suppose categorized as a Novice Stock Modified "NSB", Novice Stock A are for unmodified engine internals... they can be anywhere from 1300 to 1800cc. The organizer was having a big smile when he saw in my registration about my engine size... "993cc" only. He thought I was playing a joke. This is not normal for an experienced race driver to go back into racing with a much smaller engine... but I was serious.
PROOF ESTABLISHED
Early before the race, three Hatchbacks ripped through the Cavite coastal road, leading the pack is the modified VW Golf doing speeds in excess of 180 kph.... followed closely by a Silver Turbo Starlet 1300... and the White charade was not very far behind with speeds over 140kph... it was as if the whole traffic stopped... normal speed in this highway is only 80kph. This early morning high speed street chase was enough proof that the HHO HydrOplus Charade can chase after Race tuned cars - yet maintain a low carbon footprint.
It also shows that - even without a simultaneous double barrel carb throttle opening... this can can run quick enough relatively speaking in contrast with other gas guzzling tuned cars. The stock carb of the charade was in fact - undercarbed... It has undersized primary jets... only '70' instead of the standard and factory recommended '85'... I also had the air adjustment screw fully closed - in order to stop fuel spray feed during low idling mode, making the car virtually consuming zero fuel at idling... I have my supplementary fuel to keep the engine idling anyway so I don't need it that much. The secondary jet is sized at '140'... but I can hardly take advantage of this since the vacuum drive diaphragm push rod takes soooo long time to open the secondary throttle. This is so since I had the vacuum line connected to my HHO fuel feed line also. This is truly a handicap in racing... but this is good for daily driving.
HANDICAP
- Soft suspension
- Steering Column Bushings are worn out, scary to steer hard;
- Stock Carb - not performing aggressively enough for race use;
- Unable to register for 2 classes... not enough runs to establish familiarity with the track;
- Worn out brake linings... unable to do a good sharp turn.
- Wear and Tear Proof engine - thanks to Green Technologies used for Lubrication;
- Hydrogen Rich Fuel on-demand enhancement; HydrOplus kit with 'Super 7';
- Vortex Exhaust Pipe - really helps improve the performance especially on the middle and upper power bands;
- Ignition enhancer - ensures the engine to squeeze enough juice out of any combustion stroke... thanks to Mr. X;
I wish to thank David for sponsoring the entry fee which cost P700. for this race. Racing for a cause can take some cost too. There is a good potential to make an exposure for any "Green company" if they plan to have some public statement or attention. If anyone is interested for a collaboration, I am welcoming any Green company to be one of the sponsors in keeping this car running for this whole racing season year... while promoting a "guilt-Free Motoring". so far, I have been able to prove many things outside the dyno... these are actual racing with handicaps, actual emissions tests, all with mileage improvements - in spite of a heavy right foot.
CONCLUSSION
When we decided to start racing again this year... a promise was made that we will not be racing to get trophies anymore... just racing to promote an awareness campaign at the same time gather data from our experiments on board the vehicle.
"Winning trophies is a thing of the past for me anyway... but I later realized, that in order to make a more effective drive, winning trophies is again a must!"
There are two racing outfits that this car can easily compete in, mainly slalom and autocrossing... the former is organized by Race Motorsports and the latter is organized by Mr. Danny Santiago. (http://www.autocrossphil.com/behind.html) Both events can boost the exposure of your companies market presence. We already have a team of race tuners using this technology in Cebu waiting to be organized. This team is now open for sponsors. Be part of probably the first ever "Green Racing" team.
I am racing for a clean, green and healthy planet... combating greenhouse gases by way of promoting awareness that there are tons of Green Technologies out there that can be easily adopted in order to reduce our carbon footprints to significant levels without compromising power and performance. If you think that our cause is aligned with yours... then you are most welcome to join us in this race to save the planet. Be a sponsor... Make a difference... Be that difference!
